Amazon QuickSight, does it ring a bell? It might if your job involves business intelligence and delivering insight in your organisation.
QuickSight lets you easily create and publish interactive dashboards that include ML Insights. We’ve incorporated it in Gearbox to provide embedded call data analytics dashboards to our customers.
Because of our experience with this tool, Amazon asked us to share that knowledge with some of their customers at the London QuickSight event on January 27-28, 2020. Our Product Manager Gerard Nijboer was the right man for the job.
In his presentation, he shared a case study of how we use Amazon Web Services’ QuickSight to visualize the call detail records in the customer portal. The embedded business intelligence solution allows our customers to explore their data. It also enables them to gather valuable insights that are only available on the higher level in the telecom infrastructure where we are positioned.
Gerard shared the business requirements that ultimately led us to choose the QuickSight product. As well as the technical challenges we faced to get the product going. He also spoke about the results delivered by the solution, such as more business value and shorter time to market. The enablement of internal and external stakeholders to use data in their decision making is also an important result.
